What has become of Baseball?

After all it's only a sport.
Yet, things the game evokes in the minds of the fans,
they are more important.

Watching baseball played by chemically enhanced millionaires,
I now realize how big the gap between the players and fans has become.

Now even more disillusioned by the steroid incidents involving Rafael Palmeiro
and Ryan Franklin, I no longer have the same interest in the game.

The point is,
what difference does baseball make in general fans' quotidian life?
Are fans really happy if their favorite team win under the current climate?
